Destination Donation

Destination Donation is a NEW program launched in 2022 to give back to the Capital Region of New York. Yankee Trails will pick specific destinations to travel to, such as NYC, Boston, baseball games, and then the profits will be donated to a charity of choice. 

Along with the specific trips throughout the year, Yankee Trails will be offering fundraisers for organizations and different charities through out the Capital Region!

How It Started

Yankee Trails has been in business for over 60 years. Started with John Tobin Sr at the helm. His son, Stephen, along with his six brothers and sisters have since taken over the business. Stephen's father loved baseball, especially Yankees baseball. As a benefit in his name, Stephen started running baseball trips to Yankee Stadium to raise funds for youth baseball groups in the East Greenbush area. Profits raised, would go directly to the group. 

Stephen wanted to expand that idea to other local charities and groups in the Capital Region. 

How It Works:

Many organizations will host countless auctions, golf outings, and galas to raise money for their cause, and Yankee Trails wants to offer Destination Donation as a new and dynamic fundraising option for local nonprofits. Yankee Trails will give your nonprofit options of destinations to travel to and a hard cost price. Any money raised in addition to the hard cost price then directly goes to the nonprofit hosting the trip. 

For example: A bus trip to Yankee Stadium. The hard cost would include pricing for things like the driver, the fuel, and the tickets. You and one of our experienced team members would then come up with a price to charge your group. If the hard cost, for example, is $50 per person, the package could be $100, and your nonprofit would keep the extra $50! In this example, our motorcoaches hold 56 people, so your nonprofit could make $2,800 instantly. 

Yankee Trails will create a private link for you to send out to your network and post on your social media pages to help promote the fundraiser. We can also help boost your fundraiser by making flyers, adding the event to our website, and posting about it on our social media pages that have a combined audience of over 22,000. Through Destination Donation, we look forward to helping countless nonprofits in the region for years to come.

Destination Donation has catered to organizations such as The Bus Stop, a sibling support group in the Capital District, The American Cancer Society, Make A Wish, East Greenbush Little League, Rensselaer Fire Department and many more organizations.
